This year, MULS has undergone a complete transformation in how we support and develop our members’ commercial awareness. We are taking the initiative to rely less on what we can get from firms, to what we, as Committee Members who have been successful in securing training contracts, vacation schemes, insight schemes, and open days, have practically learned that translates into useable and tested advice that is guaranteed to support our members in being successful in application processes, competitions and generally
in demonstration of their critical thinking skills.

“This year has seen the biggest push in increasing diversity for many years, with a myriad of schemes, including a first-of-its-kind bursary scheme for ethnic minorities. Alongside the regular diversity events, there is a diversity council with elected heads to advise the committee – which is a great structural way to increase diversity. As a student from a minority group, the support and information from the society has made me feel much more at home not only in the society, but in Nottingham as a whole.”

Our society continues to provide the broadest range of opportunities and serves as the ‘go-to’ law-related society on campus.
