The University of Bristol Law Club (UBLC) is one of the university’s largest and most successful student societies comprising of over 1,000 members.
We are committed to helping students from all backgrounds enter the legal profession. Our three main areas of focus are: to provide tailored careers guidance and networking events with leading employers; to enhance the academic programme through mentoring, competitions and pro bono, and to provide our members with an exciting social and sports calendar! The society is supported by over 50 law firms and graduate employers and holds prestigious lectures by leading practitioners and judges, including, most recently, Baroness Hale and Lord Toulson. We are honoured to have as our patron this year, Supreme Court justice, Lord Wilson. Therefore, we are more than just a typical law society; we facilitate the creation of friendships, the creation of new professional connections and the creation of many unforgettable memories during your time at university.
The society has a very active presence across all social media platforms, so that we are always kept up to date with what’s going on and the latest opportunities. This year they also did their first Facebook Live Stream with tips on how to succeed at the law fair which was really useful as I could watch it from home and not miss out on some invaluable information.
